Since the first sketches, nature has been at the heart of our inspiration. The soft shapes of our pebble bath mat evoke stones polished by time, reconnecting us to authentic sensations. This natural approach guides each step of creation at La Berge, from design to material selection, to offer a unique sensory experience that is faithful to the simplicity and beauty of the natural world.
THE BEGINNING
SERENDIPITY
It all started with an encounter between design and audacity. In 2017, Jordan, the founder of La Berge, a designer by trade, received a special order: to design a unique bath mat for a prestigious client. The idea took shape but this project was cancelled.
FAMILY, FRIENDS, COLLEAGUES...
Everyone was captivated by the beauty of Jordan’s design for the bath mat, and encouraged him to persist with his creation. That moment was a turning point. Rather than let the creation go to waste, Jordan made a decision.
PERSISTENCE
This journey did not happen overnight. For nearly five years, each step required perseverance. Creating a workshop from scratch was not the easiest task. It was a long journey that led to the official birth of La Berge in 2022, the fruit of passion, patience and perseverance.
